On October 1st i purchased 300 dollars on two phones at the Metro pcs store on channel islands in port hueneme ca. I live on a navy base so the phones got little to no service due to radio interference. I went to return the phones and was told it would take 3 to 6 weeks for me to receive my refund check!.

It is now october 19th and i was getting upset due to how long it was taking:. I called the corporate office and they told me that there was never any check pending, and there were no intentions to send me one.. I called the metro store back, and they said that they would not give me my money back, that i had to wait for the check". When i told the man that no check was coming, he denied what the corporate manager said, and he continued to say that i had to wait for a check from the store".

The corporate manager said the store does not have the authority to mail me a check, and he also said that i was supposed to get my money back the day i returned the items! The metro store clerk said i would not be getting my money back.. I went to speak with the store district manager, and she said that the employees of that metro store were going to be under investigation|. She said that the store was probably hoping that i would just forget the whole thing and fade away?. No way! I persued it until i got my money back and the store manager was fired.

Not all Metro Stores are that way. But some of them actually refuse to honor the Metro Promise. Which is that as long as the phone is under 60 minutes talk time and within one week of the purchase date, customers can bring the phone in for a full refund. The reason some of them refuse to honor it is that being a authorized Metro Pcs Dealer (aka 3rd Party Company/Franchise) Entitles the owner of the store to keep the first months payment from a new cellular activation for bringing a new customer to Metro.  

 

As your next move I would suggest calling the dealer support group and filling a formal complaint against the actual store not metro. 1-800-901-6266 (You WILL actually get a live person on this line after they give your a 45 second recorded message). This is the number for the Dealer Support group. I would also suggest calling the Better Business Bureau on that particular franchise.
