I have a Metro Samsung R410 model which was purchased in Feb.08.The tel.isn't working @all now.It goes in Power save mode and searching SVC. I ret.it to the store where it was purchased & was told mine was the 3rd.this wk. w/same problem: it seems like to got wet which it didn't. I was told condensation from keeping it in my purse can cause that also. The same tel.model is now discontinued after being introduced in Dec.07 and a new updated version is available". I was told Metro will give $20 credit towards purchase of new one or since I have insurance I can pay $80 to get refurbished one and no credit for not having service/. I will continue to be billed even though I have no service?. I was told Metro gives no credit and don't suspend svc!. I was told pay up or loose # and good luck:. In a nut shell: Tel". doesn't work w/in 6 mos;. of purchase, warranty ineffective due to water/condensation damage, still being billed for no service, $20 credit issued or $80 deductable and get refurbished tel'. which may not be same model as it was discontinued after less than 1 yr. 128e0aa

There is no contract. Just don't pay, and they cut it off the day the payment is due. 2 weeks after that your number is up for grabs. If you want a new phone, buy a new one. Everyone who knows how metro works knows that you pay full price for their phones. If it breaks and you didn't get insurance, you're SOOL. I'll pay full price on phones for no binding contracts and cheap service anydayl.
