They sell the phones and service like it is the best thing ever, so stupidly I bought my son a new phone as a Christmas gift and two days later he goes in to change over his phone number, okay no problem they told him they had to set up a new account because he was switching the number after the sale but that they would move his payment from the original account to the new one!. The phone works fine for a day and then is shut off:. My son had no idea his phone was off, it didn't even give him notice that he needed to make a payment or anything just wouldn't let the call go through.. I called and realized something was wrong so I called the store to get them to fix it, I hear Dan tell me oops I guess we forgot to move the money'. Great now my son is on his way to work, no phone, no way for me to reach him and I need to speak to him to bring his auto registration papers so he can go to the DMV today,. I offer to make another payment just to get the phone turned back on, they couldn't do that,. I wait a half hour, really this is insanity, still no phone'. I am beyond upset, I should have stuck with Verizon as annoying as they are they are not this bad/. Finally the phone gets fixed, but too late my son is at work and no registration papers with him. I work for metro pcs. And I have NEVER had to switch a line to a new account to get a phone number. The Store you went to obviously had no idea what they were doing. Normally when we change a phone number it stays on the same account and there is a $5 fee due immediately. But if your phone was purchased 2 days previously the store should have called our dealer support group explained the situation and the charge would have been wiped off the account. It's stores like that, that are giving Metro Pcs a bad name. I apologize for the trouble you and your son had to go through to change a number.
